The 10 Best Golf Courses in Long Beach (2026)
This list ranks the top golf-related venues serving Long Beach and nearby neighborhoods, using a Bayesian score built from Google ratings to balance average score and review volume. Updated for 2026, our approach favors consistently high-rated places with a meaningful number of reviews so newer outliers don’t leapfrog established favorites. Long Beach sits amid a cluster of public courses, country clubs, and instructors across neighboring coastal communities, so whether you want a full course, practice facility, or private instruction you’ll find options nearby. Below are the ten highest-ranked spots based strictly on Google review data.
This ranking is computed from Google reviews (our method). Listings marked Partner are paid advertising spots: they sit alongside the ranking without changing its order.

Frequently asked questions
How did you pick these top golf spots?
We ranked venues using a Bayesian score derived from Google review averages and review counts to balance rating and volume. That approach prevents small numbers of perfect ratings from outranking well-reviewed, consistently good places.
Should I choose a country club, public course, or an instructor?
Choose based on your goals: country clubs offer private, membership-driven facilities, public courses provide walk-up tee times and broader access, and instructors focus on lessons and skill development. Consider how often you’ll play, budget, and whether you want coaching or just rounds.
What should I check before booking a round or lesson?
Confirm tee-time availability, green fee or lesson pricing, cancellation and rescheduling policies, and any equipment or dress requirements. Also read recent customer reviews to learn about course conditions and current service levels.
When is the best time to call a course or instructor?
Call during weekday business hours to reach pro shop or office staff for tee times and lesson scheduling. For weekend availability or last-minute changes, calling earlier in the week can secure preferred time slots and avoid peak demand.
